He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Jordanian University and a BA in Islamic education from al-Quds Open University. He is a businessman and general director of the Sons of Khairi al Jabari Industrial Trade Firm in Hebron. He was a member of the board of directors in the Islamic Youth Association in Hebron between 1991 and 1996. He was also a member of the board of directors and secretary of the Islamic Charitable Commission in Hebron between 2000 and 2005. He has been arrested four times - in 1993, 1996, 2002 and 2004.
